Hello Puppets: Midnight Show

Otherworld Interactive and tinyBuild have just revealed a new horror game called Hello Puppets: Midnight Show at the Steam Next Fest. In addition, the demo of the game is available on Steam right now for you to try out.

Hello Puppets: Midnight Show is a sequel of the hit VR game Hello Puppets. The story of the game is set in the 1980s on a set of the Muppets knock-off TV show. If the muppets scared you as a kid, this game will be perfect to fuel your nightmares. You have one night to spend and reverse the spell to escape the Hadeeman Sound Stage alive.

Check out the trailer below:

You play as Owen Gubberson, a master puppet maker who uses magic to bring their creations to life. The puppets however are not what you expected. They are sadistic and evil, and they have devious plans for you.

Andrew Allen, Creative Director at Otherworld had this to say,

It’s the most challenging and ambitious game we’ve ever made. Our goal was to combine our love of narrative-focused horror with a more systemic game design, so you can play it over and over. We’re absolutely thrilled with how the game is shaping up so far, and we hope you enjoy getting an early look at it at Steam Next Games Fest.

Features:

  • Dynamic Hide and Seek gameplay against an advanced AI that hunts you and forces you to learn its behavior and adapt.
  • Four distinct AI bosses with unique behaviors, personalities, and narratives. You’ll grow to fear and love them at the same time.
  • Large, complex levels full of tools to use against the puppets, hiding spots, and pieces of a larger narrative you’ll have to work to put together.
  • Unique “Hiding” mechanics that force you to stay on your toes by completing high-stakes minigames and challenges
