In a thrilling announcement during today’s Frontier Unlocked livestream on February 28th, Frontier Developments, based in Cambridge, unveiled exciting new content for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. Set to release on March 20th, players can anticipate two new Hero DLCs alongside a comprehensive free update that promises to enrich the gameplay experience of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin for all.
Kurdoss Valentian, known as The Craven King, emerges as a formidable force on the battlefields of Ghur. His haunting presence instills fear in enemy squads, disrupting their commands and silencing opposition. Armed with the Sepulchral Sceptre, The Craven King unleashes death upon foes, making him a formidable adversary in combat.
In contrast, the Gaunt Summoner harnesses the chaotic energies of Tzeentch, wielding devastating spells and summoning daemonic entities to wreak havoc from a distance. With the power to manipulate reality itself, the Gaunt Summoner reshapes the battlefield to their advantage, turning the tide of battle with arcane prowess.
Both Hero DLCs introduce new abilities and strategic opportunities across AI Skirmish, Multiplayer, and the single-player Conquest Mode. Players can deploy these unique characters to modify their tactical approach and gain a competitive edge on the battlefield.
The Hero DLCs will be available for individual purchase at a suggested retail price of $4.99 each or as a bundle for $8.99. It’s worth noting that players will need the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin base game to access this new content.
Furthermore, a free update accompanies the DLC release, offering new maps, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life enhancements. Notably, players will gain greater control over their units with the introduction of two new squad stances: ‘Engage’ and ‘Hold,’ providing increased autonomy and strategic flexibility on the battlefield.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is currently available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can choose between the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition or opt for the Warhammer Bundle – Chaos Gate & Realms of Ruin on console, which includes Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, enriching the tactical experience for fans of the franchise.
