Robin Guide – Hood: Outlaws & Legends
Our Hood: Outlaws & Legends Robin Guide details everything that you need to know about playing with Robin in Hood: Outlaws & Legends.
Character Overview
If you are familiar with most RPGs and other action games with classes, then I can easily say that Robin is a Hunter. If you like agility, stealth, and good, ranged combat skills, then Robin is your character to play with. His kit revolves around making his arrows more powerful and giving you recon bonuses such as long-term tagging of enemies for you and your enemies to see. Below you will find a detailed analysis of Robin and how you can use him more effectively in combat.
Gear
Starting with Robin’s Gear, you have a Flash Grenade that is excellent for blinding your enemies. While it may not hide you from all of the enemies, all enemies that are caught in the blast of the Flash Grenade are blinded and they will be disoriented for a small-time giving you time to escape from the area. However, if there are enemies far away who were not in the range of the Flash Grenade, they can still attack you normally so use it wisely.
Ability
Robin’s ability is a really powerful ability that sees him shooting an explosive arrow into his enemies. This ability is excellent for crowd control and if you see a bunch of enemies standing together, you can fire this explosive arrow in their middle and see them fly. However, there is one thing that you must keep in mind is that this ability has a relatively long recharge time so there will be long gaps between its use so you must always use it very carefully.
Trait
Robin is a ranger, so he naturally comes with the trait Scout. With the Scout trait, Robin can tag enemies and they will remain tagged much longer for yourself and your team members. Robin can always scout ahead, mark the enemies, and come back. Since the enemies will remain tagged for a much longer time, it gives you plenty of time to prepare an attack on the approaching enemies.
Best Perks of Robin
Robin comes with three Perk slots as well where you can equip multiple Perks to tailor the gameplay according to your own playstyle. There is not much customization when it comes to builds so these perks are your only way of changing the gameplay style a little bit according to your taste. We recommend using the following best perks while playing as Robin.
Perk Name | Perk Slot | Description | Level Required |
Reticent Recon | Slot 1 | This perk will increase your movement speed, climbing speed and overall agility making Robin extremely agile in the game along with allowing you to capture the Capture Points quickly. | Level 2 |
Broadhead/Bodkin | Slot 2 | These two perks affect your charged attacks with the arrows. If you want more accuracy, you can go for Bodkin otherwise if you want to increase your damage you can go for Broadhead | Bodkin – Level 4
Broadhead – Level 10 |
Elemental Arrow | Slot 3 | This perk will decrease the time it takes for your explosive arrow to explode giving them very little time to escape | Level 9 |
Tips and Tricks for Playing with Robin
- Robin’s explosive arrow is excellent for disorienting enemies who are trying to capture an objective. If you see your enemies trying to complete an objective where they are grouped together such as winching, simply fire this arrow between them and watch its magic.
- Always recon ahead of your team and carefully tag all the enemies for your teammates. All the enemies that you tag will remain tagged for longer so your team can easily plan its approach into the next area with each player deciding their approach and attack strategy.
- Robin’s Reticent Recon perk is excellent for capturing Capture Points as it greatly increases the capture speed. If you are playing as Robin, and you have the Reticent Recon perk equipped, you must always try to capture the Capture Points that come in your way to give your team a respawn point closer to the objectives.
- If you want to increase the speed of Robin’s Explosive Arrow’s explosion, equip the Elemental Arrow perk which is unlocked at Level 9. This will ensure that enemies do not get enough time to get out of the blast radius.
