Developer Pixelsplit and publisher Daedalic Entertainment have unveiled a unique job opportunity with NORN Corporation in their upcoming horror observation game, Shift 87. Launching on Steam for PC on July 23rd, Shift 87 invites you to dive into a world of eerie anomalies and unsettling observations.
Shift 87 offers an intriguing role as an Anomaly Detector for NORN Corp. The primary task is to identify and report anomalies in various environments. If you’re someone who thrives on suspense and enjoys a good scare, this might just be the perfect job for you. The game promises a blend of horror and mystery, drawing you into the haunting events that followed the mysterious occurrences of March 24 at Nelson Bros Circus.

NORN Corporation, a leader in disruptive technology, is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team. The position involves navigating through virtual environments, memorizing each level, and detecting deviations in altered versions. Using a designated device, you must report any anomalies they find. However, be warned: incorrect reports will reset the sequence, demanding accuracy and attention to detail. Some of the anomalies will be pretty clear such as running into supernatural entities while some of the anomalies will be subtle and hard to detect which will make it a real challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environment Familiarization: Thoroughly explore and memorize each level.
- Deviation Detection: Identify and report any changes or anomalies in the environment.
- Anomaly Reporting: Use the provided device to report findings accurately.
- Shift Completion: Successfully complete each shift by identifying and reporting all anomalies.
During each of the runs, you will need to identify all of the anomalies. Failure could even lead to resetting the current scenario, overlooking inconsistencies can prolong your shift, and excessive stress levels could lead to long-term consequences. This concept is at the heart of Shift 87, where you must identify these irregularities to progress. You will need to identify around 66 anomalies in the game and there is a bonus ending as well if you manage to find all of the anomalies.
