Horror Game Scorn Will Evoke Sense of Dread Thanks to Twisted and Interconnected Environments

Scorn Gameplay

In the recent gameplay trailer of Scorn, we got to see how the atmospheric horror game will evoke a sense of dread and helplessness thanks to the game’s twisted and interconnected environments.

The trailer was shown earlier this month at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, centering the gameplay on the game’s disturbing setting. Watch the trailer below if you have missed it:

[The trailer] gave players a deeper look into the game’s nightmarish world, a biomechanical labyrinth with aesthetics inspired by the works of H.R. Giger creating a truly unsettling, interpretive experience.

In the desolate hellscape which was once an industrial civilization, you find yourself in a place that is left in ruins. As you awaken isolated and lost in the living labyrinth of Scorn, you will be left alone to fend yourself from creatures, all to find a way forward.

Surrounded by visceral, fleshy contraptions and plenty of creatures, and deadlier encounters, you must be careful considering the limited amount of ammo, health, and resource you will begin with. The mystery will unravel with the world around you as you solve intricate puzzles on to search to find unsettling answers, slowly coming to an understand of your existence.

Scorn’s twisted and interconnected environments evoke a sense of dread uninterrupted by direct guidance, upholding a thrilling sense of discovery and encouraging thoughtful progression from players bold enough to brave Scorn’s tense and mysterious journey. Players must harness their intuition – and possibly the darkest parts of their minds – to reach new areas and earn new abilities in their fight to make it out of the bio labyrinth.

Scorn will launch just in time for this Halloween on October 21, 2022. The game will launch for Xbox Series X|S(day one with Xbox Gamepass) and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
