Merge Games and Italian Games Factory have revealed their brand-new project Haunted Space which combines horror elements with sci-fi space adventure. The game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game heavily focuses on exploration, fast-paced dogfighting, trading, and ship crafting.
Customizable flight simulation and intense multi-stage boss battles are also part of the gameplay as you fly around in your spaceship. The game’s story is set in the far future during the second age of human civilization. Humanity reached the distant Neterun galaxy and discovered a powerful energy source called Sonic Matter. A vast factory Metal Mother Facility was created to extract this precious resource however at this point, humanity figured out that they were not alone in the space.
Your role in the game is that of a raider in the service of the Human Empire. You will need to traverse a treacherous galaxy, take on quests across multiple systems, or simply strike out on your own to fight, explore, and scavenge resources and credits. You will have your very own ship in the game which can be traded, customized, and used to right other people in the galaxy as you uncover the secrets of a galaxy haunted by an ancient civilization.
