To get the highest rating in any mission means that you need to combat enemies in the most brutal and efficient way. This can be done by hitting enemies with heavy combos, and ensuring that you take minimum to no damage.

Getting high ranks such as the S or the SS rating can be done so by using the game’s Tension meter to your advantage. Fighting enemies will increase your tension, thus allowing you to deal additional damage and chain heavy combos. The higher your tension gets, the higher your chances of taking down enemies quicker and securing a high rank.

However, Tension needs to be maintained, which can only be done so by applying constant pressure on the enemy with heavy attacks and combos. Every time you begin a fight or a mission, your Tension meter starts at the lowest, indicated by the yellow color. As you fight and land hits on a target, your tension will increase, and land more hits the target.

To ensure that you get the highest rank in the mission, you have to get the Tension meter to the highest. This is indicated by the red tiger that shows up on the screen. Finishing a mission with the maintained tension level and being lucky enough to not take any hits will guarantee an SS rank in the end.

To maintain the Tension at the highest, you can do so by making sure all your combo hits land on the target, and that you use wrestling moves on an enemy. Furthermore, you can also increase tension by using the Death Glove Chips. These come with unique stat effects that you can then equip on your Death Glove. Each Chip costs UC and materials required to craft them, but comes with buffs such as increased ATK Power, Wrestling ATK power, and more.
