Superbright has just shown of In Death Unchained upgrades for the Oculus Quest 2 VR, with a screenshot comparison of the visual upgrades that players will see on their Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets.

In Death Unchained will now look even better on the Oculus Quest 2, as can be seen from the screenshots. The developer shave utilized the new hardware to deliver sharper visuals, increased comfort, and smoother gameplay experience. Players can expect the update with the visual upgrades soon.

In Death Unchained Oculus Quest 2

The game already looks pretty good and is one of the highest-rated Oculus Quest games. With the new upgrades, Superbright hopes to establish the game as a must-have visual experience on the Oculus’ mobile VR platform.

Using the heavily modified Unreal Engine that allowed Superbright to deliver the high-quality visuals at its original launch in July 2020, the team has been working on upgrades and optimizations for Quest 2 that further deliver on the game’s vision. Some of the highlights include the ability to display the game’s whole world at once, with beautiful heavenly vistas that span to the horizon, as well as additional visual elements further filling out the desolate world of the game’s godless afterlife.

CEO of Superbright, Wojtek Podgorski had this to say,

We’re incredibly excited for the release of Quest 2, we think the headset delivers the true consumer VR option we’ve all been waiting for, and we couldn’t be happier to support it and make In Death: Unchained even better, with some of the updates trickling down to Quest 1 as well.

If you are unaware of In Death: Unchained, it brings the rogue-lite experience to the Oculus Quest. Grab your longbow and rain down arrows against the forsaken souls, angelic creatures and demons that have taken over the godless afterlife as you battle through the procedurally generated levels of Heaven, Purgatory and Hell.
