Maximum Games and developer Magic Fish Studios have announced their new horror adventure In Nightmare, releasing for the PlayStation 4 this year. The game will have you face your fears and explore what truly lies within.
The announcement was accompanied by a trailer that showcased a young boy who has closed himself from all the pain of the outside world and has fallen into a deep, nightmare-fueled slumber. Armed with only his wits, while the only light he has is from his dream spirit, he has to escape and evade the monsters that await his every turn.

In Nightmare is a narrative-driven story that puts players in a terrifying world where dreams come to life to haunt your every move. Will the protagonist, defenseless against this terror, lock himself away forever, or will he cling on to his last hope of love as he drifts into the darkness? To prevail, players will need to solve intricate puzzles and hide from the ghouls that seek to tear him down, bit by bit.
The game will have you experience effects of a broken family, and the heartache it brings, a young child will escape reality into a dark, whimsical world created from his own memories. This sets him on his journey to uncover what truly lies within. Having suffered in reality, his past trauma turns into terrifying monsters that want to keep him in an eternal nightmare.
