Beautiful Space Indie Game Sable Delayed to 2020

Sable

The beautiful and artistic space indie game Sable by Shedworks which was revealed last year during E3 has been delayed into 2020. The original release window given during the game’s reveal was 2019 but now the developers of Sable have stated that due to some more work on the game, they are now delaying the title into 2020.

Sable takes place on an alien planet where we play as a character called Sable who must explore a vast and open world desert full of interesting things around her. The planet is full of ancient ruins, monuments and forgotten space vehicles which are now nothing more than derelicts.  The game looks like an RPG title as Sable will move around the desert on her hoverbike meeting other people and interacting with them.

Shedworks stated in the official announcement:

We’ve now been working on the game full time since October 2017. We initially thought the game would take us around 2 years to develop. It was an extremely rough estimate and for us to fully realise the game we want to make, we now think we need a bit more time. It was always going to be tight getting the game out in 2019 so now we’ve made the decision to take more time with the game and aim for release in 2020.

Delaying a title just because the developers need more time to make the game better is never a bad thing. It is always better to delay the title and release a more stable product later so that the fans who have been waiting for the game, receive a well-developed and glitch-free title. We have seen games going down the drain just because the developers released them in a hurry.

We are looking forward to more details to come out regarding Sable as we are closely following the title now and we really hope that the developers give us some more information or at least some more gameplay of Sable soon. In the meantime, you head over to Sabel’s Steam page and add the game to your wishlist.
