Judgment Announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S Release in 2021

Judgment PS5

Released back in 2019, Judgment is a Yakuza spin-off title, but fans loved it and it quickly started its own cult following. Fans of the game will be happy to know that they do not have to leave their beloved game behind as Judgment is being remastered and it will release on PS5 and Xbox Series S|X along with Google Stadia. A new trailer showcasing the remaster is now out in the wild and we have attached it below for you. Check it out before we dig into additional details:

While the release is not officially called a ‘Remaster’, it does everything that a remaster does. The PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X|S release will include the base game along with all DLCs released for the game until today. It will also utilize the increased power of next-gen consoles and deliver crispy 60 frames per second. While the trailer does state refined visuals, we do not know if the game is optimized for 4K or not at this point.

The game follows the story of Takayuki Yagami who is a private detective as he investigates the serial-murder case in Kamurocho, a fictional district of Tokyo, Japan. This district has already been featured in the original Yakuza franchise earlier which is why Judgment is considered a spin-off of the franchise. But despite the same setting and location, the game features a completely unique story and gameplay mechanics that greatly sets it apart from the traditional Yakuza title.

It is also worth noting that your current PS4 copy will not upgrade to the PS5 version. If you want to upgrade to the new version, you will need to purchase the PS5 version of the game separately. Judgment is releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia on April 23, 2021, and will set you back $39.99.
