June Update Brings Bikes, Mission Improvements to Generation Zero

Generation Zero June Update

Avalanche has released the June update for Generation Zero and it adds bikes and brings many mission improvements to the game. The addition of Bikes is the second major feature added to the game since its release and it offers a pretty neat way of moving around Ostertorn. Players will find all new Bike Stations at their safe houses where they will be able to spawn their own bikes.

Bikes are called ‘Cykel’ in the game which is a word normally used in Urdu for a bike. Players have three unique colors to choose from. Sky Blue is the default color for all players while the two remaining colors Emerald Green and Ruby Red must be unlocked by them by destroying certain machine types in the game.

Another thing revealed by Avalanche about these bikes is that these are not the best type of vehicle to use off the road. They perform best on the road so it is better that players use them on the roads rather than off them. Sadly, they do not provide any sort of protection from the machines as well. Players can still be attacked while riding around in the bikes.

Apart from the addition of bikes, Avalanche has introduced a large number of mission improvements and these are all based on fan feedback that they have been collecting since the release of the game. The annoying mission freezing bug has been fixed which caused the Main Missions to freeze at random locations. The core story of the game has now been fixed and players will be able to finish them without any trouble.

However, the new fix will slightly set players back in terms of progress because due to the mission fix, all saved files will be reverted to the start of the mission the player was on. They will have to play the mission again with the new update. However, this will affect only those players who saved the game in the middle of a mission. Players who saved outside the missions do not have to worry about anything.

Apart from these major fixes, certain other improvements have also been done to the game which includes overall game balance tweaks, explosive damage has also been adjusted for numerous weapons and environmental objects in the game and from now on, no loot container in the game will be empty. Even if the loot is less and boring, no loot box will be empty so players can always look forward to getting something from a loot box.
