Limited Run Games along with Universal Products and Experiences have announced the launch of the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection across all modern consoles and PCs. Thanks to Limited Run Game’s Carbon Engine, seven classic Jurassic Park games now have a second life and players can experience them on their favorite modern consoles. As of now, we only have a digital release of the Jurassic Park collection, but it is better than nothing as it preserves one of the most iconic franchises of all time.
Check out the launch trailer for the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection below before we jump into additional details:
The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection brings the 8-bit and 16-bit era of Jurassic Park games to modern devices. The release adds new features such as save states for each game, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes to make these games accessible for modern players. If you have played any of these original releases, you will remember that these games are extremely tough and difficult to complete. These new features and options will ensure that the games are more suited for modern players, and they can enjoy these games rather than get frustrated.
Certain additions and extras added to this collection are curated to celebrate the legacy of the 1993 film from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment as well. In this collection, you will find the long-lost Jurassic Park games which were released on NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Genesis consoles back in the early 90s. We have seen several new titles released across the franchise but they do not add up to the charm and the challenge that these classics offered back in the day. In addition, nearly all of these titles were directly based on the movies. The titles included in this collection are:
- Jurassic Park (NES)
- Jurassic Park (SNES)
- Jurassic Park (Game Boy)
- Jurassic Park (Genesis)
- Jurassic Park: The Chaos Continues (SNES)
- Jurassic Park: The Chaos Continues (Game Boy)
- Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition (Genesis)
Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is now available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The price for the collection is $29.99 across all platforms.
