The announcement does not come as a surprise as Sony already announced a Kingdom Hearts III PS4 console back in E3 2018 event. Typically, such announcements are not made that early about limited edition consoles, but Square Enix was trying to make up for having announced that Kingdom Hearts III would also be coming to the Xbox One.
Kingdom Hearts has been on the PlayStation for a long time, and given that Japan’s history of supporting Japanese platforms over Western ones, Square Enix put out something special all together for the PlayStation.
Last week, a new opening movie trailer for Kingdom Hearts III was also released which included a new song. The song is ‘Face My Fears’ by Hikaru Utada who has already worked many songs in the previous titles in the Kingdom Hearts series. Utada previously sang the opening theme song of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2.
