The new action packed 5v1 co-op survival game Last Year: The Nightmare developed by Elastic Games is now available exclusively on the Discord Store. The game is available first on Discord store and will launch on other platforms later.
In Last Year: The Nightmare, five high-school survivors will try to escape a hunter which is controlled by a single player creating the most unique 5v1 experience to date. In most games, the hunter is only one and the player controlling him has limited options to avail but here, there are three hunters to choose from each with their own unique skills and attacks to take down the survivors.
The survivors must complete a certain set of objectives and explore the Nightmare if they want to escape. They will need to equip themselves with bats, guns and other improvised tools if they want to fight back the hunters. There is limited ammo and resources to go around so the survivors will need to utilize everything they find to survive and escape the school.
On the other hand, one player will have three fearsome hunters to control and take down the survivors using their unique skills and brute force. A special Predator mode allows hunters to turn invisible and set up ambushes and traps for the survivors. Once the stage is set, they can reveal themselves and take down the survivors using unique methods. During this mode, killers will not be able to hurt the survivors.
However, sheer brute force and speed will not be able to lead the hunters to victory, the player will still need to use brain and come up with some sort of a strategy to take down the survivors. If any of the teams depend on simply the sheer force, they will be out of the game in no time. Even with their tiny figures and seemingly fragile bodies, survivors can pack a punch with the right set of tools.
Last Night: The Nightmare also features the industry’s best actors featured in the game which are behind the acting of the characters in the game. Video game fans will easily recognize the voices of these famed people. Featured in the game are Melissa Hutchison (TellTale’s The Walking Dead), Zeno Robinson (Metal Gear Survive), Michael Johnston (Teen Wolf), Erica Lindbeck (Spider-Man), Noshir Dalal (Red Dead Redemption 2), Elias Toufexis (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey), Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV) and Jon Olson (World of Warcraft).
Last Night: The Nightmare is a promising title and will surely keep players busy throughout the holiday season. Developers are ensuring to keep support alive for a long time and more content will be added to the game in 2019 as well.
Last Year: The Nightmare is now available to purchase for $29.99 exclusively through the Discord Store. The game has been released through ‘First to Discord’ program.
