Darkest Dreaming

After the credits, when you find the game introducing you to the main characters of the story, you will find out about Andrew, Daniel, Angela, Taylor, and Professor John. Any dialogue choice you make when playing as Taylor will directly affect your relationship with John.

Following up with a few conversations, your adventure begins when you continue on the main road of the highway. Make sure that you examine and interact with the road sign here.

The Highway

During the Highway section of the game, you reunite with Daniel and Angela after opening the gate. You need to look for a premonition here called Deadly Omen which can be found at the pickup truck just past the gate. Head to the back of the pickup truck to find the premonition.

Once you have done that, continue on the highway until you finally reach the Black Cat Bar. This is where Taylor and Daniel will start conversing. Make sure that you keep the conversation positive to not affect the relationship between the two characters.

Black Cat Bar

When you get to control as John inside the Black Cat Bar, you will meet a man called Vince. He will offer you a drink that you can either refuse or accept. Your choice will then play out your manner towards Vince.

In addition to the drink, you can also play darts in the bar with Daniel. Or, you can start examining the items inside the bar which include a photo from WW1, the telephone, newspaper, and every interactable item. When you have checked out everything, you are ready to leave the Black Cat Bar.

Return on the Highway

After exiting the Black Cat Bar, you will get back in control as Andrew. You can look through the window to check out on Vince if you want. Moreover, if you head to the other side of the bar, you can find the map of Little Hope itself.

You can also find another premonition here called Familiars from one of the benches here. When you are done, continue on the highway and examine any items on the way. After a while, you will find a poppet, a creepy little doll. Examine the poppet and you will then meet a small child called Mary. Talk to Mary, and then proceed to talk to the rest of your group.

Following the conversation, the first act of the game will conclude.
