Thunderful & Megagon Industries has released the Lonely Mountains: Downhill Season 23 update, bringing a new daily Rides Recap Season that sees the addition of new cosmetic items that will take you back in time to 2022.
The Daily Rides Season 23: A Bike Odyssey gives honors to the bravest and most fearless space adventurers. You can now walk among the adventurers and gear up for a trip to the final frontier with fresh new outfits and items.
The new update is available right now on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill Season 23 brings new outfits and spacesuits that players can equip. Here is everything in the new update:
- Take one giant leap for mankind with the White Space Suit
- Watch out for the trail ahead to a new level of style with the Orange Space Suit
- Prepare to colonise the Red Planet with the Martian outfit
- Prove that we are not alone out there with the Extraterrestrial Being outfit
- Breathe easy with the new Space Helmet
- Gear up for your space odyssey with these intergalactic backpacks featuring the Oxygen Tanks, Intercom or the Alien Co-Rider backpack
But the Daily Rides update is more than bringing new cosmetic items, as it brings a cross-platform daily leaderboard competition. Every day a new trail will be selected randomly in the game that players will have to compete with new obstacles and shortcuts. The season will last for four weeks, offering a new theme with unlockable cosmetic rewards for participants.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill was initially launched in October 2019. The game became a hit among players and critics in the first year of launch, resulting in its growth of more than a million players. The number has grown ever since and has been reported to be at 3.7 million players as of November 2022. Over time, the game has received three free DLCs each addition additional environments and tracks, “Redmoor Falls”, “Riley’s Return” and “Misty Peak”.
This success has also seen the various awards that the game has received. Lonely Mountains: Downhill has won awards such as “Best Indie Game” at the German Developer Awards and “Best International Indie Game” at Poznan Game Arena.
In 2021, Super Rare Games announced the limited edition physical release of the game on the Nintendo Switch. It contained all the game’s content, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set. All copies also featured a slick collector’s slipcover.
