Happy Juice Games revealed their innovative animated adventure game Lost in Play during the Future Games Show 2022 and it is coming out later this summer. Lost in Play is a point-and-click adventure game that allows you to rekindle and relive your childhood and go back to a time when every pathway was your playground, and you would find adventure around every corner. This colorful game is designed to take you back to those sunny afternoons after school.
Lost in Play’s visuals are inspired by a mixture of modern-day cartoons that kids watch today and the Saturday morning cartoons that the rest of us grew up with. The trailer for Lost in Play showcases the madcap nature of the world brother and sister Toto and Gal are thrust into. The trailer also focuses on the beautiful visual style of the game that serves as Lost in Play’s superlative signature. Check out the trailer below:
At its core, Lost in Play is a feel-good adventure game where a brother and sister explore dreamscapes and befriend magical creatures. Everything in the game is wrapped around their imagination and they must work together in order to solve puzzles and make their way back to their home. Yuval Markovich, co-founder at Happy Juice Games comments:
This is a game you and I can play in front of our kids to show them a little slice of our collective childhoods. That’s why we were so inspired by the spirit of the cartoons we all grew up watching, using the sense of adventure they convey to connect with the younger generation. Recapturing that magic that we tend to lose when we get older is what we set out to achieve, and we think people will enjoy finding the charm, the nostalgia, and the feel-good factor whilst they’re Lost in Play.
Key features of Lost in Play include:
- A mysterious animated puzzle adventure with amazing, cartoon-style visuals.
- Magical and magnificent creatures throughout.
- No text or dialogue – everything is communicated visually in an endearingly universal way.
- Inspiration from TV shows such as Gravity Falls, Hilda, and Over the Garden Wall.
- A variety of uniquely creative activities to take part in; play cards with goblins, create a dragon, and teach a sheep how to fly.
- More than 30 unique puzzles and mini-games.
Lost in Play is slated for launch on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch on August 10, 2022. You can head over to Steam to add the game to your wishlist and also try out the free demo which will remain live until June 20, the entirety of the ongoing Steam Next Fest.
