Madden NFL 20 earlier this month and EA has just revealed that Madden NFL 20 has scored the biggest ever digital launch in its first week in the entire franchise. The game also received the highest pre-orders ever in the franchise as well. The highest played mode in the game was Face of the Franchise: QB1 and over 70% of players played this mode to become the next best quarterback.
This is a massive 80% growth over the last year’s Longshot 2 and it just shows that fans really wanted to try out the brand new mode. The highest pre-order numbers were recorded in the final week of pre-orders of the game. This has broken the records of all previous games in the franchise which is a huge success for EA Sports. Madden NFL 20 is really pushing the limits when it comes to improving sports games.
The week 1 sales were also dominated by mostly digital sales where more than half of the copies sold were digital. This is also a first record for the franchise as mostly the physical sales have been dominating the digital sales. EA has also shared the number of games played in-game during the first week and the records show that they are up by double-digits when directly compared to the last year’s release.
Earlier, EA also announced that it is teaming up with NFL for EA Sports Madden NFL 20 Championship Series. The championship will run along with the entire NFL schedule and will conclude during the NFL Draft next year from April 23 – 25, 2020. The event will allow fans of the NFL franchise to take part in the championship and show the world what they are really made of.
EA Sports Madden NFL 20 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
