In a throwback to the iconic Nike BO Knows Campaign, EA has revealed the new Madden NFL 22 digital cover featuring Bo Jackson. This announcement comes for the holiday season, reigniting 90s nostalgia for the iconic campaign.
Players can explore Bo Jackson’s football legacy starting tomorrow (19th November) with new experiences and content across some of the game’s most popular modes that include The Yard, Superstar KO, and Ultimate Team.
Bo Jackson himself talked about his appearance on the digital cover of the game,
It’s great to be back in the game with Madden NFL and to appear on my first cover. The Nike Bo Knows campaign brings back a lot of nostalgia for me and many others. It’s great the campaign has remained relevant for so many over the years and to see it revisited in Madden NFL 22allows it to reach a whole new generation of fans.
On the other hand, Julie Foster, VP of EA SPORTS Brand added,
We revealed Madden NFL 22 with two of the greatest quarterbacks in history on the cover in Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. What better way to continue highlighting greatness in sport during the holidays than featuring Bo Jackson, the only athlete to be named an all-star in both professional football and baseball, and one of the greatest running backs ever in the NFL.
EA has said that between 19th November and 14th January of next year, players will receive and 85 overall rated Bo Jackson player item and Raiders uniform to outfit their team in Madden Ultimate Team. In The Yard mode, you will get the new Nike x Bo Knows gear, including the Nike Air Bo Turk worn by Jackson himself in the 90s.
Jackson will also be appearing in the draft pool in the Superstar KO game mode, featuring the Bo Knows Superstar X-Factor ability, which is made to emulate Jackson’s mythical versatility.
