After its huge success in Japan and UK, Mario Kart Arcade GP VR is finally making its way to USA with their first stop will be Washington D.C. It will be part of VR Zone Portal where many other VR games will also be present alongside Mario Kart.
Bandai Namco and HTC have partnered up for this and they are taking the VR experience around the world where players can really immerse themselves in the future of gaming and try different VR games before they think about purchasing VR headsets for themselves.
Bandai Namco’s US sales head Steve Ignarski had this to say
Bandai Namco is thrilled to be a part of the innovative, cutting-edge project that is VR Zone Portal. The launches in Japan and the U.K. brought great success, and we hope to follow suit in Washington, D.C. Mario Kart VR is a long-awaited title, and we have no doubt it will be well-received in the states, due to its incredible, immersive game-play and outstanding equipment from HTC Vive.
Bandai Namco Amusement is behind the VR Zone Portal and HTC is providing the main VR headsets for this experience. Players in Japan and UK use HTC Vive headsets in these VR Zone Portals where they can play various VR games and other VR experiences.
If you do not know what Mario Kart Arcade GP VR is then you should know that is a Mario Kart VR game developed specially for virtual reality arcade machines. It was released in 2017 in Japan and made its way to UK in August, 2018. Now it is finally coming to US as well.
Currently Bandai Namco plans to run the Mario Kart Arcade GP VR in Union Station located in Washington D.C. for a limited duration of six months. After six months, they will move on to another location so that players around US can experience Mario Kart Arcade GP VR as well.
