MediEvil Bosses Guide

Below we have detailed how you can defeat all of the main bosses in MediEvil.

Boss #1 –  Stained Glass Demon

This boss can be found in The Hilltop Mausoleum and is one of the easiest of bosses to defeat. His attacks involve his basic wave of shards that he sends forward at your location.

The most important thing you need to know is that the boss cannot take any damage until he reveals his heart that you can shoot. This means two things. The first is that you need a ranged weapon like a crossbow which lets you shoot consistently, and the second is that you do not have to follow around the boss, rather wait for him to reveal his heart.

Occasionally, the demon will stand in the middle of the area and reveal his heart. While this follows with a unique attack, your focus should just be at shooting the heart as many times as you can. If you do this correctly, you can take him down three times that the heart shows up.

Boss #2 – Pumpkin King

This boss is located in the Pumpkin Serpent area, and it spawned once you take out all the green pods to bring it out. Once the Pumpkin King comes out, it will start by launching projectiles from its mouth towards you.

As you reach closer, you will notice that it also has vines around it that will swing and hit you when you get close. But since you have to get close, you are left with no option but to take them out. Once you are done, you can then start hitting the Pumpkin King.

The next phase of the fight will start when the Pumpkin King goes into a healing state. Your task here is to locate another set of the green pods and then destroy them. Once you have done that, you are basically left with repeating the fight the same way all over again. Make sure you take out the green pods before the Pumpkin King can heal a lot.

Boss #3 – Ant Queen

The Ant Queen is a very menacing and intimidating looking boss that can be found in The Ant Caves. Having said that, the boss fight is fairly simple. As far as her attacks are concerned, she fires off projectiles from her mouth while also depending on the ads that spawn (in this case, they are small ants that you have to beat).

The other attack is the one where she slams on the ground. Forcing rocks to fall from the roof. You have to dodge these but simply running around. For your own attacks, it is best to fight with a Crossbow and wait for the Ant Queen to raise its head and reveal its weak spot at the beginning of her belly. Once she does that, fire away as many arrows as you can to deal damage. Repeat all the steps until she is dead.

Boss #4 – Guardians of the Graveyard

The Guardians od the Graveyard are two wolves/dogs looking creatures that are found inside the gate of The Graveyard. When the battle begins, they will encircle you in a small area surrounded by fog outside the ring that you cannot escape to.

This fight is also a simple one, and all you have to do is wait for them to come out of the outer ring and come in the middle to attack you. You can dodge their attacks as only one of them comes for an attack at a time. Dodge and then hit them until they flee back to their refuge. Repeat the steps and you will be done in no time.

Boss #5 – The Dragon

The Dragon is woken up in The Crystal Caves when you have got two of the Dragon Gems. Bringing the gems and putting them in the dragon head in this area will bring out The Dragon for the battle.

The fight is pretty straightforward, as the dragon pops out his head from three caves in the area and then breathes fire at you. This is the only attack the Dragon has against you. You on the other hand also have just one type of attack, and it depends on dropping the crystals on the head of the Dragon.

In the area, you will find three different colored crystals on the ground, which will drop a large crystal from the ceiling when you smash on them. When the Dragon pops its head out from a cave, hit the crystals of the same color where he comes out from. This will cause a large crystal to drop on its head and deal damage. Simply repeat this by hitting the correct crystals on the ground.

Boss #6 – Demonettes

The Demonettes are two ugly looking flying demons that can be found in The Enchanted Earth. The fight ensues on a small platform that is raising itself upwards, while the Demonettes fly in a circular pattern above you to attack.

This means that melee is out of the question, and you should only attack with your best ranged weapons. A Crossbow will work just fine in this case. The tricky part is that the platform will tilt sideways to throw you off in the ground, which is why you should only stay in the middle and never in the corners.

Meanwhile, the Demonettes will be attacking you with their own projectiles. These can be easily missed by just moving around and then walking back to the center of the platform. Another attack will begin once you have defeated one of the demon, which involves large boulders to drop from the ceilings. Again, you just have to move around and be wary of not falling down by the tilting of the platform. Continue your crossbow attacks and the Demonettes will be defeated fairly quickly.

Boss #7 – Ghost Ship Captain

The Captain of the Ghost Ship is found on the main deck of the Ghost Ship. The fight is pretty much like the one with the Dragon, where you have to first position the cannon and point it to where the Captain is standing, and then ignite it with a fire weapon to fire a cannonball that hits the Captain and deals him damage.

You can position the cannon by stepping on the two box shaped switches that will rotate the cannon to the position you intend to shoot at. All the while, the Captain will be throwing away projectiles at you, and ghost pirates will be spawning in to attack you. You have to defeat them along with firing the cannon at the Captain. Once you have dealt enough damage to the Captain, the fight is over.

Boss #8 – Zarok

This is the Final Boss in the game, and it is no surprise that it is a long fight that concludes the story of the game. Before you can face Zarok, you have to first fight with Fazguls and Lord Kardok before Zarok makes his appearance.

Your role in the fight with the Fazguls is just to heal your allies that spawn to fight against them for freedom of Gallowmere. Your task here is to carry the Chalice of Souls and start healing your allies who are fighting Zarok’s warriors. When you heal, a part of Dan’s health will be draining, so you have to have a lot of health before you can commit to this battle. Once your allies defeat all of the warriors, the next phase in battle will begin.

The second phase of the fight is against Lord Kardok. The battle brings out Lord Kardok who is riding his flaming horse and swinging his flail. He will begin by running around the area, and you can’t do anything at this stage but wait for him to come to the center of the area and when his horse starts to rear up. This is the only chance you can deal damage to him. When he does that, all your focus should be to hit as many times as you can. When he starts to ride his horse again, you will have to fight the ads that appear in the area.

Finally, in the final stage of the battle, Zarok himself will produce himself but in a very menacing looking form of a monster. Zarok has many attacks, depending mainly on his projectiles that he shoots at you. All the while, he is also immune to any damage. Your task here is to just dodge his attacks and wait for him to be vulnerable. When his body doesn’t shine, it is an indication that you can begin attacking. Repeat this step until Zarok is defeated.
