Publisher Funcom and developer The Outsiders have announced to bring mod support to Metal: Hellsinger, the newly released critically acclaimed rhythm FPS where you slay hordes of demons to the beat of heavy metal.
With the new mod support, talented modders can now create custom music genre mods or any other that you can think of. As a glimpse of what it will look like, check out the Metal Hellsinger Jazz Mod trailer below:
The new mod support puts creative power into your hands, allowing you to create your own music for the game on PC. Modding brings immense potential, while music in the game goes beyond affecting the mood and feel of the game, being firmly glued to the gameplay and the entire experience.
With the game’s modding tool, players can layer their music and make it react to the player’s performance. If you want, you can make Metal: Hellsinger’s gameplay to feature K-Pop, country, EDM, disco, classical, rap, reggae, there are several possibilities. Modder-musicians are invited to push the boundaries of good demon-slaying motivation.
If you are wondering how to get the modding tool, it is available for free right now, while Funcom and The Outsiders have prepared step-by-step video guides to help modders and newcomers through the process. Mods can be accessed through the Steam Workshop.
Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm FPS that gives you the ability to shoot on the beat, enhancing your gameplay experience. The more in sync you are with the beat, the more intense the music will become, and the more destruction you will cause. There are plenty of demon hordes to beat using a wide range of murderous guns. Each weapon will come with its own ultimate ability, such as Murder of Crows or The Big Goodbye.
We have recently reviewed the game where we gave it a 9.5/10 to this metalhead’s paradise.
The best way to experience Metal: Hellsinger is to try out the pulsating gameplay firsthand, which you can do so by downloading and playing the free demo from Steam. In addition, the mod support can also be used on the demo, giving you the ability to change the genre of music.
