Fans of the aviation and flight simulator games will be glad to know that Microsoft has announced the release date of its upcoming Flight Simulator. Both Asobo Studio and Xbox Game Studios announced in a joint blog post that Microsoft Flight Simulator is releasing on August 18, 2020. Pre-orders are now live on Windows 10 and pre-installs are now live with Xbox Game Pass for PC (beta).
The Flight Simulator franchise is one of the oldest franchises by Microsoft and it has been around for nearly 38 years now. The very first Flight Simulator was released back in 1982 and since then, the franchise has come a long way. The latest Flight Simulator is one of the most authentic titles in the franchise as the developers have used the right tools, technology, partners, and hardware to develop the game. - Standard Edition ($59.99) – Includes 20 highly detailed planes with unique flight models and 30 hand-crafted airports. The Standard Edition will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta).
- Deluxe Edition ($89.99) – Includes everything from Microsoft Flight Simulator’s standard edition plus five additional highly accurate planes with unique flight models and five additional handcrafted international airports.
- Premium Deluxe Edition ($119.99) – Includes everything from Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard Edition plus 10 additional highly accurate planes with unique flight models and 10 additional handcrafted international airports.
If you prefer a physical, retail version, you can get one in Europe from Aerosoft. According to your selected version, you will have access to all of the airplanes and airports right from the launch day.
