A new month means new free games if you are a Games with Gold subscriber and January 2021 is no different as you will be getting four new titles to play this month as part of your subscription. Two of the games are for Xbox One while two titles are from the classic lineup and can be played on both the newer Xbox Series X and S consoles or the Xbox One range of consoles. This means that if you own the new Xbox Series X or S, you can play all of the titles on your console with Backwards Compatibility.
The four new titles coming in January 2021 include:
- Little Nightmares – January 1 to 31
- Dead Rising – January 16 to February 15
- The King of Fighters XIII – January 1 to 15
- Breakdown – January 16 to 31
In Little Nightmares, you play as the character Six who is stuck on a strange and mysterious vessel known as The Maw. On this huge vessel, you will come face to face with corrupted souls who love cooking and will do anything to make you their next meal. You must escape from the ship and find salvation as you reconnect with your inner child and escape the horrors. Dead Rising is the remastered version of the original title and puts you back in the shoes of the photojournalist Frank West.
Stuck inside the Willamette shopping center with the flesh-hungry undead mob, you have just 72 hours to escape from the mall and find the source behind the zombie outbreak. While inside the mall, you have access to everything as you combine items together to make fun weapons and deadly combinations as you blast your way through hordes of zombies. The King of Fighters XIII is also an upgraded version of the original classic arcade fighting game which brings the Hyper Drive power gauge for unleashing massive attacks on your enemies.
The final title in the list is Breakdown which was released on the original Xbox console. You play as Derrick Cole who is stuck inside a mysterious lab and seems to be unable to remember his past and how he got there. To survive, you will need to combine hand-to-hand combat along with state-of-the-art weapons in the game’s intense storyline as you search for the truth.
