Spider-Man: Miles Morales Will Feature the Adorable Spider-Cat Companion

Miles Morales Spider Cat

If you thought Miles Morales will have to take on crime and thugs all alone, you might want to reconsider. Spider-Man: Miles Morales will feature an adorable Spider-Cat sidekick to accompany you in the adventure.

Not only will Spider-Cat fly around with you inside the backpack, but will also aid you in combat against the enemies. A new gameplay trailer shown by GameInformer revealed Spider-Cat and how the pet animal will accompany you in your friendly neighborhood.

Check out the gameplay video below showing Spider-Cat in action:

The video first starts with Miles taking out some enemies and locating a backpack with Spider-Cat hiding inside it. This mission seems to be a quest that you have to complete in the game to get Spider-Cat in the first place. Returning the cat to the owner will end the mission and subsequently give you Spider-Cat to join along in any adventure that follows from that point.

Before the video ends, we can see Spider-Cat aiding Spider-Man in some attacks, albeit not any powerful move that can take out enemy, but it is still a nice touch nonetheless.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to launch next month on November 12 on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 with the new console launch. The title is a standalone game for the consoles, as confirmed by the developer, Insomniac Games. The developer revealed that it is an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game.

There’s a substantial Miles Morales component — which is the expansion element — but also within the game as well there’s been major enhancements to the game and the game engine, obviously deploying some of the major PlayStation 5 technology and features.
