A recent blog post mistake may have led to the reveal of a mobile Forza racing game under development at Turn 10, the developer behind the Forza Motorsport franchise.
Turn 10 posts as weekly blog post titles Forza Week in Review and the most recent blog post had a link which was initially meant for the official Forza Motorsport 7 eSports competition however it was linked to a local computer file. The link was broken was the address was visible when the mouse hovered over it revealing the title to be ‘Forza Street’.
The following description is about the title as well.
Developed in partnership with UK-based studio, Electric Square, Forza Street is built from the ground up to support a wide range of Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices.
After the high rate of success of mobile racing games, it only seems natural that Turn 10 wants to join in the fun. We have seen mobile only franchises such as Real Racing and Asphalt grow massively over the past few years. There is a huge potential market segment just waiting to be tapped in the mobile device category.
Earlier, Turn 10 had announced that they will not release a new Forza Motorsport title this year and instead they will work on fixing 2017’s Forza Motorsport 7. Since the developers are not really working on a new title, it only makes sense that they utilize this time and release a solid title for the mobile devices.
At this point, Forza has two main franchises under its umbrella which include Forza Motorsports developed by Turn 10 and Forza Horizon developed by Playground Games. They each come out each year alternatively for the past few years however this year the developers at Turn 10 have decided not to release the next title in the franchise.
You can check out the Forza Week in Review which had the wrong link.
