Modern Warfare MultiplayerActivision has just shown us the multiplayer trailer of its upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, featuring a lot of multiplayer action and a new experience in strategic and tactical gunplay. An open beta for the game is set to be available on September 14 for PlayStation 4. However, you can have early access to the beta on September 12 if you pre-order the game.

Modern Warfare is going to be the fourth game in the series and is developed by Infinity Ward. The concept of the game is set in the wars of modern times, and focusing on the current political climate setting. The multiplayer of the game will feature new weapons and will have 2v2 Gunfight experience, and the traditional 6v6 multiplayer gameplay. It also has a mode that can support 10v10 and 20v20 firefights. Lastly, it also has Ground War, that puts in 100 players all at once.

Studio head of Infinity Ward  Patrick Kelly said,

It’s not like superheroes. It’s real soldiers, it’s real guys, it’s real equipment. We wanted to make a game that was authentic, that was gritty. The things you’re going to see in the game are to the extent we possible can, we always ask ourselves ‘Is this realistic? Is this authentic?'”

We always talk about things like ‘ripped from the headlines.’ Is it relatable content that feels like ‘that’s the kind of conflict or scenario that I’m used to seeing in the zeitgeist of today.

The game will also support cross-platform so that console players on the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One players can play together. This welcome feature is going to please a lot of fans who have been requesting cross-platform play for a long time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not be free, nor will it have a free-to-play mode. But it does have a free season pass. This will have no subscription tied to it and will give you extra content for the first time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is releasing for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 25, 2019. Post your comments below and let us know what you think Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
