Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s Season 3 Update to Add a New Village Map

Modern Warfare’s Season 3

According to data miners, Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s Season 3 update will be adding a new map in the game called Village. The leakers also showed the image of the new map from a top-down view and also stating that it will not be a remake of the original map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The leaked information was posted on Reddit, showing the new map of Village. The map does not seem that big and feels like having the standard three lanes from one end to the other.

A loading screen image of the map was also leaked online, which only strengthens the rumors further. The loading screen image was also fished out from the game files, confirming that it is indeed completely different from the original Village map.

Season 2 of Modern Warfare is coming to an end as Season 3 will be launching next week on April 8. In addition to the new map, new modes and weapons are also expected to be added to the game. Last week, Activision had teased the new season, confirming the date while doing so. The image posted on twitter had three new operators, with hints of returning maps in the game.

The additions of new maps are turning out to be a regular occurrence as Season 2 brought out Rust and other maps back in February. We expect similar amounts of content, if not more when Season 3 launches this week. Having said that, we also expect new content to be added to Warzone, which is the new Battle Royale standalone game.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s Season 3 update is set to launch in a couple of days, which seems to be the only conclusion to the rumors about the new map. The only question is if it indeed the Village map or something completely new by Activision.

What do you think of the new Village map? Do you think the rumors are going to be true? Post your comments below.
