Anomaly Quests will be unlocked when you are just about to end the story, where a mission leading you to the Citadel has you figuring out what killed all the monsters. The quest takes you to a battle with a Lunagaron, in its most powerful and deadly version. It is only after you finish the game’s story, that you learn about this powerful Lunagaron being Afflicted.

Afflicted Monsters are powerful versions of the basic monsters, that are highly deadly and will challenge your ability. What makes Afflicted Monsters dangerous is their ability to inflict the Bloodblight ailment on players, which happens when the monsters get in their delirious state.

When inflicted by Bloodblight, your character HP will drain over time, while it will significantly reduce the time it takes to heal. This poses a very difficult challenge to players if they have to face this status and the powerful attacks of the monsters.

Moving on to the bigger question is if you can capture these Afflicted Monsters. In this case, you cannot capture any Afflicted Monsters. However, there is always a reward waiting for you when you complete Anomaly Quests, which is after you defeat an Afflicted Monster, that you get Afflicted Materials to upgrade your armor or weapons.
