Monster Hunter Rise Switch

Nintendo has just revealed a special Monster Hunter Rise Switch console along with a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. This comes in celebration of the game’s return on the Nintendo Switch console this March.

The special edition console will launch on the same day the game comes out on March 26, 2021, while the price of the console is said to be 38,400 yen. The console comes in a Monster Hunter Rise themed box, where it contains both the themed Joy-Cons, console and the dock.

The console and the Joy-Cons are printed in black and gray, but the dock itself has a beautiful dull gold monster emblazoned on it. On the other hand, the pro controlled has the same gold monster printed on the pro controller, similar to the one on the Switch Dock. The Pro Controller will be sold separately and will cost you 7,840 yen.

Monster Hunter Rise was revealed with a trailer last year at The Game Awards 2020. Set in the ninja-inspired land of Kamura Village, players will get to explore lush ecosystems and battle fearsome monsters to become the ultimate hunter. It’s been half a century since the last calamity struck, but a terrifying new monster has reared its head and threatens to plunge the land into chaos once again.

Hunt solo or in a party with friends to earn rewards that you can use to craft a huge variety of weapons and armor. Brand new gameplay systems such as the high-flying ‘Wire Action’ and your canine companion ‘Palamute’ will add exciting new layers to the already robust combat that Monster Hunter is known for.

Pre-orders for both the Monster Hunter Rise Switch console and the Pro Controller will start exactly next month on February 27, 2021. However, the console has only been confirmed for Japan, but it might be hitting the western markets soon as well. Any official announcement made by Nintendo will be updated.
