Below we have detailed how to beat Tetranadon in Monster Hunter Rise.

How to Beat Tetranadon

Tetranadon is a large turtle-like monster that you will be facing in this quest. This monster has a variety of attacks that it will hit you with, but some are more unique where it can change its body size for more powerful attacks.

When you first step in the battle, your focus should to be attack its exposed limbs and tail. This gives you the best chance of dealing with consistent damage and also is a spot that you can consider a weak spot. While the Tetranadon’s head is also a weak point, it will rarely let you have the chance for a good hit, let alone a combo. Instead, you should focus on hitting its large tail behind it, leaving it no choice but to face you first and then attack.

Tetranadon has a few attacks close range that can catch you off guard, but once you try to get some space between the two of you, it will go for its jump attack where it leaps towards your location and slams on the ground. This attack can be avoided if you can anticipate the move with its initial animation but will knock you back if you are caught in it.

Over time, the Tetranadon will swallow gravel and increase its body size, specifically its belly. It will then use this heavy belly for a ground slam attack where it first picks the belly up and then slams on the ground. This is a powerful attack that can knock you far back, but its animation usually gives it away beforehand.

While you continue your barrage of attacks, the Tetranadon will fall over on its back as it spews out the gravel and gets back to its normal size. During this time, the monster will be staggered on the ground with its belly exposed. This is the best window to attack the monster, especially at its belly which is another weak spot for your heavy combo hits.
