Capcom has finally announced Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion, the first ever expansion to offer extra story events set after the main game. Monster Hunter World is developed and published by Capcom. The game initially released January 18, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Microsoft Windows version of the game released later in August 2018.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion will take place after the main events of the base game. Players will be required to own the base game to play the expansion. The expansion is scheduled to release in fall 2019. The expansion, like the base game will release first on consoles and later on Microsoft Windows. Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion will introduce players with a new world environment. As the title suggests, a new snow environment and terrain will be introduced in the game from the expansion. Along with it, new quests and full story will be another addition of the expansion.
We will see new and returning monsters in the game once the expansion is out. Also, during the presentation, Capcom revealed that a new rank will be introduced in Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion. Capcom did not mention the title of the rank but we are assuming ‘G’ rank to be introduced in the game.
The player who have played previous Monster Hunter games must have an idea about ‘G’ rank. It features monsters of a level above High Rank ones with unique rewards. Also, it must be noted that ‘G’ rank monsters are tougher than before and slaying them in the expansion will not be an easy task.
The presentation also revealed that Capcom will collaborate and bring crossover of Witcher 3 with Monster Hunter World. Yes, Geralt of Rivia is coming to Monster Hunter World and he will roam Astera, Ancient Forest, Rotten Vale and more to slay monsters, of course for a price.
