Capcom has announced that a new crossover event will be coming in Monster Hunter World where it will be bringing in content related to the Resident Evil series. the news comes only a month after the game received a massive expansion update last month called Iceborne.
While it is not the first crossover event in the game’s history, it still is something to look forward to, considering that it is Resident Evil related. A trailer was also released where we got to see both Claire and Leon in the wild world of Monster Hunter World. It certainly seems like the two protagonists of Resident Evil 2 will be playable in the game, or something of that sort will be available to players. We also get to see zombies in the frigid worlds of Monster Hunter World, where zombies can be seen attacking large monsters.
Take a look at the trailer below:

What is even interesting is that the antagonist of the game, Mr. X the human-shaped killer robot is also going to be featured in the game. The end of the trailer features Mr. X then enters suddenly with suspense-filled music that takes over the final stages of the video. However, Mr. X seems a lot more mellow than what the players are used to from the Resident Evil 2 game.
The Monster Hunter World and Resident Evil 2 crossover event is planned to launch sometime in November. A release date has not been confirmed as of yet. If the crossover comes out in November, it would be coming earlier than the PC release of Monster Hunter World. Perhaps this crossover event is solely going to be for console players if it is a limited-time event. We still have to wait and see what Capcom has to announce and what other details about the event will be shared in the coming weeks.
