Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath – Klassic Kombat

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath

Netherrealm Studios has dropped another bomb of awesomeness and we are super pumped for it. The Aftermath expansion for Mortal Kombat 11 recently had its gameplay trailer released and the amount of content shown is just insane so let’s go ahead and break everything we saw.

Legends Return

The trailer opens with Sheeva who is a four-armed queen and Fujin who is our favorite swordsmen from the 3D era of the franchise.

Aftermath’s gameplay trailer shows both of the new combatants fighting as it showcases the vast and unique array of attacks Fujin comes packed flurry attacks with from mid-air dashing to on-ground beatdown and those chained juggle combos look way too good.

From there we see Sheeva absolutely dominating every other combatant with her supercharged attacks, fireball projectiles, ground stomps, and oh boy it does remind me of Goro’s gameplay from Mortal Kombat X.

The Future Of Law Enforcement

The main highlight of this whole trailer is Robocop who is making his Mortal Kombat debut as a very solid guest. We see Robocop serving a can of whoop as to Johhny Cage by blasting him into pieces with his oh so good fatality and going one on one with The Terminator which is a dream match we all wanted to see since arcade days.

Robocop has insane and accurate details from his signature look, dialogues, and the weapons! Loved how easily he can whip out his classic Auto-9 pistol and do you for good from a long distance, can turn you into a toasted marshmallow using his flamethrower or smartly parry your attacks with his riot shield because hey he’s a cop remember?

Robocop for sure is a very versatile fighter with attacks that go from ranged, close, and overheads.

Going Places

For fighting games one common problem is the number of stages it comes as with the passage of time playing on the same stages over and over again becomes boring so to keep things fresh the new update on May 26th brings you three new free arenas to brawl.

The classic “Deadpool” is back looking to damn good and “Chamber Of Souls” which was last seen in Mortal Kombat 9 makes it’s way back to the game alongside a new place from Kronika’s land.

The details, textures, and design on these maps are very well done!

The Word Is Your Weapon

Another thing the fans are super pumped for is stage fatalities and in this video package we see quite a few of them and personally, the best one is form the tournament stage where Sheeva smashes Shang Tsung with a freaking arcade cabinet of Deadly Alliance.

In the Deadpool stage, you can toss your opponents into acid just like the good old times!

Netherrealm And Their Amazing Content

As always Ed Boon and his friends impress us with their fan service taking care of everything people want in a very good way. Aftermath is shaping up to be one of the greatest expansions of all times for all the right reasons.\

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath DLC comes out on 26th May for PC, XBOX, PS4, and Switch and we can not wait to play it! For more on fighting game keep checking Gameshdge
