Mounts Have Arrived in Conan Exiles with the New Update

With the latest update released for Conan Exiles, players can now have their own personal mounts and also take part in mounted combat. Players are now able to capture foals, train them to become battle-hardened and ride them straight into battle changing the battles in the game forever and opening up prospects of new gameplay.

According to the developers, the addition of mounts was one of the most requested features and now it has been implemented in the game with the latest free update for the game. Players can download the update and start training their new mounts. This will cut down their traveling time significantly as well as give them a very strong ally in battles.

With the new horses now added in the mix, players can now joust, swing their swords from horsebacks and even fire arrows while riding their valiant steed in battles. If they want, they can also mow down victims if they don’t want to waste their arrows on them. A new follower leveling system has also been added to the game with the new update.

With this system in place, Exiles can gain experience points for their pets, thralls and horses. Eventually, they will unlock some random rare and powerful perks which will benefit them in battle. Creative Director Joel Bylos commented:

Since the beginning, mounts and mounted combat have been a part of the dream that shaped Conan Exiles. It is gratifying and exciting to finally deliver on that dream and give players the mounts and combat experience that they have been waiting for.

The free update is available for all players and it arrives just in time with the new DLC Riders of Hyboria. Riders of Hyboria is a paid DLC however mounts and mounted combat is available to everyone for free. Riders of Hyboria is part of Year 2 Season Pass and comes with the following main features.

2 exclusive mount skins: one befitting the knight in shiny armor, the other perfect for a dark and gruesome warlord.
6 exclusive mount saddles: each suited for different playstyles, such as scout and cavalry.
25 new mounts-related building pieces: specifically designed so you can create your own stables.
3 new armor sets: including the fabled Poitain Cavalier armor.
11 new weapons: including lance, greatsword, katana, and warhammer, all originating from the proud nation of Poitain.
14 new decorative items: specifically designed to spruce up your stables.

Conan Exiles is an open-world game set in a world inspired by the savage lands of Conan the Barbarian. The full version of the game was released back in 2018 and since then the developers have been releasing many updates for the game such as the previously released Debaucheries of Derketo DLC. The game has improved drastically since its release and a lot of new content has found its way into the game.
