Microsoft announced during the X018 event that much-awaited mouse and keyboard support is coming to Xbox One next week and the first titles to support this feature will be Fortnite and Warframe.
Microsoft had announced this news a few months ago that Xbox One is indeed getting a keyboard and mouse support and fans were patiently waiting for a release date. During their X018 event, Microsoft finally gave the fans what they wanted by announcing that Xbox One’s keyboard and mouse support is arriving next week.
Along with this announcements, Microsoft also announced the names of the games that will get this support first. Microsoft is not forcing game developers to add this feature to every game, it is up to the developers’ discretion whether they want to add keyboard or mouse support to their game or not.
The first two game to get keyboard and mouse support are Fortnite and Warframe. Microsoft had previously hinted that Warframe will be the first game to get this support however it turns out that it is not the only one. Fortnite is also getting keyboard and mouse support right at the launch.
Along with these two titles, few other titles were also named which will get the keyboard and mouse support in some time however they won’t receive the update next week. Titles getting Mouse and Keyboard support in November include
- Strange Brigade
- Vermintide 2
- Bomber Crew
- War Thunder
- X-Morph Defense
- Deep Rock Galactic
Apart from these titles, more confirmed titles will also launch updates catering to this support in the future. These titles include
- DayZ
- Minion Master
- Vigor
- Wargroove
- Warface
- Moonlighter
- Children of Morta
This makes up a decent enough list to start testing out keyboard and mouse feature with the Xbox One console. Apart from this Microsoft also announced that the game peripheral maker, Razer is teaming up with Microsoft to launch special keyboards and mice for Xbox One.
Razer announced in a short video during the X018 event that they are partnering up with Microsoft and they are making some really cool specific keyboards and mice for Xbox One. These keyboards will have special bars representing health and other cool features which will help players while playing the games.
With this feature out for the public, developers will now have the option to include keyboard and mouse support in their upcoming titles.
