NACON has released new trailers for its upcoming title Steelrising and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum during The Game Awards 2021. Both of these are highly anticipated titles from NACON where Steelrising is being developed by Spiders and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is being co-published by Daedalic Entertainment. Both titles are slated for release for PC and consoles in 2022.
Starting with Steelrising, the latest trailer highlights King Louis XVI’s obsession for automata and showcases Aegis, the protagonist of the title. Aegis is an automatron who was originally developed for dancing for the pleasure of court however Aegis is now a warrior and in guard duty of Marie-Antoinette. Appointed by the queen, Aegis must navigate through Paris and face a city crawling with machines.

Coming to The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, this title represents the struggles between the two personalities of Smeagol and Gollum. This is clearly depicted in the new trailer of the title where we can see how this affects gameplay and they play off each other in the title. On its core, it is a stealth-action game and it represents a new look at Gollum and his journey as he tries to win back his precious lost ring.

Previously NACON revealed a story trailer for Steelrising and PS5 screenshots of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. It was originally announced back in 2019 and was then delayed into 2022 and now the title is finally coming out in 2022. Both titles by NACON will release on PC and consoles. Additional details about the titles will be released in the coming months.
