Ubisoft has teased a possible new Far Cry game in a short teaser trailer which looks like is set after the events of Far Cry 5.
Check out the teaser trailer below.
The teaser trailer shows the same Far Cry 5 setting and it looks like a nuclear explosion takes place in the area. A giant nuclear explosion is clearly visible in the distance which means that the explosion was indeed nuclear.
The narrator says the following words during the trailer
None of us were ready for the end. The flames devoured everything and when death rolled through our valley, the world turned cold and dark. Years of rain, howling winds gave way to blue skies and a new world in bloom. We felt hope. We were wrong.
Judging by the narration, it is clearly now a post-apocalyptic setting however the place could be the same as Far Cry 5 or a new one. This will be revealed tomorrow at The Game Awards. According to the trailer, after some time has passed after the explosion, people have started to come out again and are exploring the world, collecting things left behind by people before the explosion.
At the end of the trailer, a person picks up a crossbow and gets ready to fire it after loading up a disc in it. This is clearly the time after people have realized that the world has changed and it is not what it looked like to be. We currently do not know any other details about the game. The Game Awards are starting tomorrow and it looks like we are in for a treat.
This is the first time a Far Cry game will be set in post-apocalyptic world and we cannot wait to see what Ubisoft has cooked up for us in the latest Far Cry.
