An update for Starlink: Battle for Atlas this spring will add more Star Fox characters and content to the game. Players can now be able to play as the rest of the Star Fox team like Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad, and Peppy Hare are all playable characters.
The announcement was made at the Nintendo Direct event and is a Nintendo Exclusive Star Fox content that can only be played with the portable console. Everything was briefly demonstrated in footage from the Direct event.
In the upcoming DLC content, Star Fox pilots have to fight the enemies in new missions, where players are tasked with tracking down the Star Wolf Lieutenants; Leon, Pigma, and Andrew. These series of new missions span the various worlds of Starlink, while also allowing players to play as the rest of the Star Fox Team. Each of the three playable characters comes with their abilities and their piloting skills.
The update is also set in bringing factions missions and starship races, which is kind of a Grand Prix mode among ships. All of the content is set to release sometime in April as a release date for the update has not been confirmed yet.
This update is much bigger than any other previous update as it adds more content to the core of the Starlink game. things like Starship races, and faction missions are all new in the game. The update also seems to be free of charge unless something changes.
Fans wanted more Star Fox in the game as the game is surprisingly light on content, so any additional stuff to play is welcoming news.
There are still more details to come, especially about the Starship races that were revealed in the event. We expect more details to come out from Ubisoft very soon.
