Whitethorn Digital and DevNAri have announced that their upcoming 3D musical platformer Newt One is releasing at the end of this month. The title will be released on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Newt One was earlier available on PC via Steam Early Access however the developers are now ready to release the final game across multiple platforms.
Newt One features the world of Groovy Hue which was once a very vibrant world. However, it has now fallen to the Great Slumber and has lost all its charm. You play as Newt who must restore music, life, and color to the world of Groovy Hue. The developers call it a nonviolent musical platformer because the game awards you for putting life in the world rather than taking it out of the game’s world.
The game works much like Splatoon as you must paint everything around you however the world in Newt One is all dark and you bring colors back to the world as you progress through the game’s world. The game features platforming, however, there is no mass-murdering here unlike most modern platformers. The game is very chill and all it wants from you is to bring colors back to the world, rescue the people and unlock more music to listen to.
