First Gameplay Trailer Video of NieR Reincarnation Released

NieR Reincarnation

Square Enix has just released the first gameplay trailer of its upcoming mobile game NieR Reincarnation. Although it is a gameplay trailer, it does not have much to show other than a trackpad on the left side of the screen allowing you to move to the character.

The visuals on the other hand look brilliant, showing the gameplay that was recorded directly from a smartphone running the game. The character shown in the gameplay and who is being controlled is a girl accompanied by a small floating figure that resembles a small ghost following her as a companion of some sort.

Take a look at the gameplay video below:

The trailer was shown today at the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019 that was live streamed from Japan. Square Enix’s mobile title in the NieR series is being produced by Yosuke Saito, and directed by Yoko Taro. The game is being developed by Applibot, features character design by Akihiko Yoshida, and concept by art being made by Kazuma Koda.

What we know so far is the game will be available for free on iOS and Android devices but will feature the usual microtransactions which will be to buy items. A release date has still not been confirmed, but we expect more information to be shared in the coming days.

NieR Reincarnation was first revealed last month on March 29 during the 10th anniversary stream for the series. Alongside the mobile game, we also got to see the announcement of NieR Replicant that will be releasing for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia. Replicant will feature a young version of Nier who is n search for a cure for his ill sister, Yonah. Much like the mobile game, Nier Replicant does not have a confirmed release date or when we might expect to see the game.
