Nintendo is Hosting Indie World Showcase Tomorrow, Possible Direct Next Week

Nintendo Indie World 2020

Nintendo has finally announced an indie game based showcase Indie World for tomorrow during which Nintendo will share information on all the upcoming indie games for Nintendo Switch. Earlier this year, Nintendo held a Pokemon Direct followed by Animal Crossing Direct which shared more information on the title releasing this Friday.

2020 has been a really slow year until now and now because of coronavirus spread, the gaming industry has taken a huge step back as developers are moving to work-from-home and we are facing delays in most of the releases of this year. We already know that E3 2020 has been canceled and GDC 2020 has been delayed. During this time, more and more developers are shifting towards digital Showcases and videos in order to reveal their upcoming games and to make announcements.

Nintendo has been hosting Direct streams for a long time however since the start of 2020, Nintendo has been awfully quiet about this year’s full Nintendo Direct. The news of the Indie World Showcase brings the good news that Nintendo is finally coming back in action and is starting this year’s presentations with Indie World. After Indie World, we can be sure that a Nintendo Direct featuring Nintendo’s plans for 2020 is no far behind it.

The latest Indie World is slated for tomorrow, March 17, 2020. The 20-minute-long showcase will detail all upcoming indie titles for Nintendo Switch in the coming months. The stream will go live at 10 AM PT and will share information on all of the upcoming indie games for Switch. After this, we can expect that a full Nintendo Direct might take place next week which will have announcements, reveals and potential information on the Nintendo Switch Pro which has been hiding for a long time.
