With just a few weeks left in its release, Nintendo has shared more details about the upcoming Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit takes the karting fun out of the console and straight into your living room where you can purchase a physical Mario Kart with either Mario or Luigi and build their very own tracks around their home.
Once the setup is complete, players can drive the kart using their Nintendo Switch console and drive it around the track. Upon purchasing Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, players will receive the physical kart with a built-in camera. Each pack contains four gates, two arrow signboards, a USB charging cable, and an eShop code for the game itself. The official dimensions according to Nintendo for an optimal setup are 12’x10’.

Players can make courses of varying complexity as the game allows a great deal of freedom to players to play around their creativity and create their favorite track. The game will feature a different number of powerups that will work nearly similar to how they perform in the full version of Mario Kart titles. Some of the powerups coming to the game include:
- Mushrooms – Will make the physical cart to go faster
- Red Shells – Will make the physical cart to stop
- Stars – Will make the kart impervious to harm
- Bloopers – Will cover the game screen in ink
- Spiny Shells – Will attack the kart in front of your kart
- Bullet Bills – Will propel your kart forward
The game features Grand Prix as its main mode where you have 24 tracks based on courses that you create in your home. Each of these tracks will feature multiple obstacles from the virtual adaptations of the video game. You can also play the Mirror Mode, Time Trials, and Custom Race mode where you can add your own obstacles and items to the tracks that you build.
