Nintendo held its latest Indie World Showcase last night and it featured some of the new indie titles that are now available on Nintendo Switch or will be launched soon on the platform. Some of the new indie titles released after the event include Axiom Verge 2 which is one of the long-awaited titles however it is now available on the console. Other titles featured in the Nintendo Switch Indie World Showcase August 2021 include Tetris Effect: Connected, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, and much more.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
In Bomb Rush Cyberpunk, you will be grinding, painting, and combo your way to becoming the All City King. It is coming to Nintendo Switch exclusively in 2022.
TOEM
Developed by Something We Made, TOEM is a hand-drawn adventure game where you must use your photographic eye to unlock the mysteries of the TOEM. It is releasing on Nintendo Switch later this year.
Loop Hero
The card-based RPG developed by Four Quarters and publisher Devolver Digital is coming to Nintendo Switch this winter after its PC debut. Loop Hero will allow you to craft a world that the hero travels through with an expanding deck of cards. You must ensure that your hero survives each loop as long as they can before they return to safety or die a horrible death.
FAR: Changing Tides
FAR: Changing Tides is an atmospheric adventure set in the same post-apocalyptic world featured in FAR: Lone Sails. You will captain your seafaring vessel and explore a big, flooded landscape. It is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in early 2022.
Necrobarista: Final Pour
Necrobarista: Final Pour is an anime-style visual novel and is now available on Nintendo Switch. The game is set in a fantasy Melbourne’s coffee culture where you will explore the questionable ethics of necromancy and the process of letting go. The Director’s Cut of the title will include the base game along with new story content and remastered visuals.
Garden Story
Garden Story will allow you to explore a vibrant island, fend off the invasive rot and rebuild your home as you become the Guardian of the Grove. Garden Story is now available on Nintendo Switch, and it will be a timed exclusive.
Boyfriend Dungeon
Boyfriend Dungeon combines dating and dungeon-crawling presenting a unique combination of the genre. You will be dancing swords to heart-piercing daggers as the game is now available on Nintendo Switch.
Axiom Verge 2
Axiom Verge 2 is a follow-up of the Axiom Verge released back in 2015 and it is now available on Nintendo Switch. The story of Axiom Verge 2 serves as a prequel of a new hero who is fight for her life, powered by the same microscopic machines that are consuming her humanity.
Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon
Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon is a brand-new action-packed puzzle-adventure game where you will guide Shovel Knight to fight new enemies, recover relics and battle bosses. It is slated for a winter launch later this year and it will feature over 10 heroes, each with their own special power and play style. The game will also feature head-to-head local multiplayer.
ISLANDERS: Console Edition
ISLANDERS: Console Edition brings the relaxing, procedurally generated strategy title to the Nintendo Switch console. In the game, you develop an island by placing buildings from your inventory and when you are done with the current island, you can start a new island or re-arrange the current one. It is just for fun, without any challenge.
Metal Slug Tactics
Metal Slug Tactics might be set in the same universe, but it is a completely new take on the Metal Slug franchise. Metal Slug Tactics features tactical combat mechanics and roguelike elements thrown in the mix as well. Metal Slug Tactics is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in 2022.
Tetris Effect: Connected
Tetris Effect: Connected is releasing on Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021. It features the single-player Journey mode, Zone Battle mode, and the co-op Connected Mode. It will also feature cross-platform.
Indie Montage
The showcase ended with trailers for Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition and Curious Expedition, both of which are now available for Nintendo Switch. In addition, additional trailers such as Hundred Days – Wine Making Simulator (Winter 2021), Gang Beasts (Winter 2021), ASTRONEER (January 2022), and LumbearJack (2022) are also coming to Nintendo Switch.
Eastward
Eastward is an action-adventure RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world and features dungeon crawling and puzzle-solving. You step into the game as John who is a hardworking miner and discovers a young girl named Sam in a secret underground facility. Eastward will release as a timed exclusive on Nintendo Switch on September 16, 2021.
