In this Nioh 2 Soul Core Guide, we will guide you on Soul Cores in Nioh 2. Soul Cores provide you with various powerful Yokai Abilities in the game and with the help of these abilities, you will find yourself beating the tougher enemies much easier. Acquiring these Soul Cores is not an easy task and once lost, you cannot get them back unless you restart the whole game again. This makes getting the Soul Cores a little trickier.
Soul Core Guide – Nioh 2
Our Nioh 2 Soul Core Guide details everything that you need to know about Soul Cores in Nioh 2 such as how to use them and where to find them
How to Find Soul Cores in Nioh 2
Soul Cores are dropped by enemies in Nioh 2. These are not just any enemies but special Yokai enemies which are one of the most powerful demon enemies in the game. Everything you defeat a Yokai in Nioh 2, there is a chance that it will drop a Soul Core for you. This is not a confirmed drop. However, if you defeat a boss, then there is a confirmed chance that you will get a Soul Core. Reaching certain points in the main story will also grant you certain Soul Cores.
Once you have acquired a Soul Core, you must head back to a Shrine and purge it. You can only use it once it has been purified at one of the shrines. If you die on your way to the shrine, you will lose the Soul Core forever unless you use a Summoner Candle. This makes acquiring these Soul Cores a bit of a problem because if you lose a Soul Core, there is no way to get is back unless you restart the game.
Where to Find Soul Cores in Nioh 2
Soul Cores are not limited to one certain location. Some of them are but some are found randomly as you explore the game, complete side missions and defeat powerful bosses in the game. There is a good chance that one player finds a Soul Core by defeating a certain enemy but another player might get it from somewhere else. This guide serves as a general location guide where we managed to find certain Soul Cores. You can try these locations as well as you might end up with at least another Soul Core.
