No Toyota or Mitsubishi in Forza Horizon 4 – Cars Removed

In recent development, it has been revealed that both Toyota and Mitsubishi will not be featuring their cars in the upcoming Forza Horizon 4. This comes at a time that when fans were waiting to drive their favorite cars in what it looks like, the best racing game of 2018 so far.

The final car list for Forza Horizon 4 was revealed recently and it showed a lot of cars but 2 major brands of the automotive history were missing from it. Mitsubishi is completely out with not a single car in the game and Toyota has three cars, which are specially built from other racing teams or modifying companies. These include the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37, 2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38 and 1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck.

There has been no official word on Toyota by Playground Games but apparently, Toyota does not want their cars featured in video games as apparently video games are leading to declined sales in real world especially in Japan. Mitsubishi themselves did not wanted their cars to be featured in this game. Turn10’s official response on Mitsubishi leaving the game was

One absence from the above list is Mitsubishi. While our teams work hard to license hundreds of brands for Forza games, we can’t always align our fans’ desires with the interests of every licensor, as is the case here with Mitsubishi. As a result, we’re unable to include Mitsubishi cars in Forza Horizon 4 at this time.

With Toyota gone, it is obvious that both Lexus and Scion will also be affected and hence we will not be getting any Lexus cars such as the LFA or LC500 in the game as well. We will surely miss the brilliant engine sound of LFA on wide open roads in Forza Horizon 4.

However, all is not gloom and doom in Forza Horizon 4. Even with these two manufacturers out of the question, the game still features a solid list of more than 450 cars right at launch. This is a huge car list and players will have plenty to go around even with Toyota and Mitsubishi now out of the game.

We do hope that they both reconsider their decisions and allow game developers to put their cars in video games back again as fans loved the Evolution and the Supra. It is too bad that they will not be able to experience their favorite vehicles this time around.
