Check out the gameplay video of Final Vendetta below before we jump into additional details:
Final Vendetta is a beat ‘em up which pays tribute to classics from the arcade era. The gameplay encourages super moves, timing attacks, and techniques as you fight your enemies rather than just button mashing to deliver a more refined method. Apart from attacking enemies, you can also block certain incoming attacks. Apart from basic attacks, each character also has its own grab variations, moves, and techniques including a back attack to deal with enemies who are attacking from the back.
As you juggle enemies in the air and throw them down to the ground, you can also kick them to deal additional damage. Combo building is an essential part of the game and as you continue to build your super meter, you can unleash a super attack when your meter is full. You can also land super attacks when your meter is not full, but you will lose your health if you do so. Final Vendetta will feature three characters Claire Sparks, Duke Sancho, and Miller T. Williams.
Each character offers a different gameplay style as Sancho is fast and nimble while Claire Sparks has a martial arts background, so it reflects on her fighting style as well whereas Williams is a former pro-wrestler, so his fighting style revolves around that. Sancho is a master of combos as his move set spans rapid-fire punches, close ranges elbows, and uppercuts along with decent footwork and a bicycle kick that can launch enemies into the air.
Claire Sparks uses elbow strikes, palm thrusts, flying knee strikes, devastating axe kicks, and two different throw variants for her attacks. Her flash kick is excellent at knocking back groups of enemies as it is a complete 3660 roundhouse. Williams uses dropkicks, spinebreakers, clotheslines, suplexes along with long-distance throws. He has a special axe handle move that prevents anyone from getting close to you and finishes it up with a powerful elbow drop that would make wrestling legends really proud.
The Arcade Mode of the game will offer six stages set in different locales such as The Streets, Underground, Docks, Club Tigre, and more. Each level in the game will end with a boss fight and the enemies will comprise gang leaders. As you clear out enemies and win boss battles, you will become one step closer to finding Juliette. Since the game offers plenty of enemies to fight with, you will not be able to win the game with just sheer force. You can use various weapons for your advantage and you can also pick up and eat food to restore your health because you will lose everything that you have if you are knocked down.
Understanding enemy fighting styles and moves will be critical for your survival and landing appropriate attacks at the right time will ensure that you do not end up losing your fights. Apart from the Arcade Mode, the game will also feature a Boss Rush mode where you can take on all of the bosses from the main game back-to-back. For hardcore beat ‘em up players, there will be a Survival mode in the game where you will be able to take on a never-ending wave of enemies to see how long you can actually survive in the game. Finally, you have your Versus Mode in the game where you can take the fight with other players. All of the modes in the game also support co-op so you can bring in a friend or play the game with a family member using the same system.
