NVIDIA has unveiled the RTX 3070 Ti as well along with its flagship RTX 3080 Ti. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is a much cheaper option for consumers and the graphics card provides a 20% performance boost over the RTX 3070 and also features faster performance than even the AMD Radeon RX 6800.
NVIDIA has launched the RTX 3070 Ti as a 1440p gaming graphics card. The RTX 3070 Ti is powered by the full GA104-400 A1 GPU core based on Samsung’s 8nm process node. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will utilize the PG141-SKU10 board.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has a total of 48 SM units which translates to 6144 CUDA cores. That is 4% more cores than the RTX 3070. The GPU has a base clock speed of 1580 MHz which boosts to 1770 MHz. The graphics card has 8 GB GDDR6X memory, which is a big upgrade from the RTX 3070’s plain GDDR6 memory.
In terms of TGP, the RTX 3070 Ti comes close to the RTX 3080, having a TGP of 290 W which is expected considering the increased cores and the newer GDDR6X memory modules. The RTX 3070 Ti will have a 256-bit bus interface and pin speeds will be rated at 19 Gbps like the GeForce RTX 3080 and the RTX 3080 Ti.

Coming to the design of the card, RTX 3070 Ti comes with an updated Founder’s Edition cooler. The standard RTX 3070 comes with a single 8-pin connector while the RTX 3070 Ti has a 12-pin micro-fit power interface. It also houses a brand-new PCB design which is similar to the irregular PCB designs featured on the RTX 3080, RTX 3080 Ti, and RTX 3090.
