One Piece: World Seeker is Coming with a Version of Sky Island above Jail Island

In new information revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Jump, One Piece: World seeker will come included with a version of its own Sky Island that will be above Jail Island. The game is an open-world action game featuring Monkey D. Luffy, and takes place mostly in the original setting called Jail Island.

According to the magazine, Sky Island exists right above the skies of Jail Island, where if you jump off of Sky Island, you end up landing somewhere in Jail Island. The magazine also revealed some more details ona  new feature that will come in the game called Pirate Karma. This is like a collection of points that you can get after complete missions corresponding to characters. When you have enough points, you can activate a special mission.

The last thing the magazine shared information about was Treasure Maps that you use to dig out treasures across the whole are of the game. here are full details that were shared on Weekly Jump:

  • Sky Island: A “Sky Island” floats above the game’s setting of Jail Island. The two islands are seamlessly connected. If you were to fall from Sky Island, you would land on Jail Island. It should be noted that the Sky Island that appears in this game and the Sky Island that appeared in the One Piece original work are unrelated.
  • Pirate Karma: By clearing missions that correspond to certain characters, your Pirate Karma will rise. When it reaches a certain amount, special missions will occur and new event scenes will appear.
  • Treasure Maps: Search for treasure using maps that only have rough illustrations.

If you are unaware of the game, One Piece: World Seeker is an upcoming game by Bandai Namco that features the famous character of the anime; Monkey D. Luffy, exploring the expansive and seamless world, where Luffy can be seen using his Gomu Gomu No abilities to traverse around the open world.

The game will also feature other Straw Hat Pirates, and is pitched to be a completely new adventure with an original story. Throughout the video, Luffy can be seen running away from the marines, while other Straw Hat Pirates also follow him. These other characters are Sanji, Ussop, Zoro, Nami, and Chopper. In addition, Jeanne was also featured where Luffy is carrying her with his gear 4th.

One Piece: World Seeker is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on 14 March, 2019 in Japan. Meanwhile the game will release in North America and Europe a day later on 15 March, 2019.
